Measure brandy, passion fruit puree, lime juice, and simple syrup. Set aside a small amount of cinnamon and an orange peel for garnishing later.
Pack ice into a cocktail shaker and add the measured ingredients along with the reserved cinnamon. Agitate vigorously for about 15 to 20 seconds to thoroughly mix and chill the contents.
Pour the mixture through a strainer into a chilled glass, leaving any remaining ice in the shaker behind.
To garnish, twist the orange peel over the cocktail to release its oils before discarding it. Finish by adding a cinnamon stick and either an orange slice or a cherry.
