Instructions

  1. Pour in enough absinthe to coat the inside of a rocks glass.
  2. Add the Peychaud's bitters, simple syrup and rye whiskey to a mixing glass.
  3. Throw the drink back and forth between the mixing glass and the absinthe-coated glass.
  4. Strain into the absinthe-coated glass.
  5. Garnish with a lemon zest twist.
