0
Rhum agricole stirred with dry vermouth, apricot brandy and Velvet Falernum, finished with Angostura bitters, orange bitters and an orange twist: dry and aromatic, with apricot and spice. Created by Frederic Yarm at Loyal Nine in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 2016.
Similar names: Mount N' Rita, Mount Pleasant, Mount Rushmore, Mount Vernon, Mount Vesuvius
Frederic Yarm created the Mount Pelée at Loyal Nine in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where it was first served as a daily special in 2016 before moving onto the regular menu. It draws on Martin Cate's Abricot Vieux and John Gertsen's Rhum Agricot from Drink, and is named after the active volcano on Martinique, which periodically devastates local distilleries and towns.
