Bourbon and apple brandy give a warm, fruity base, sharpened with lemon and bittered by Campari, with a little triple sec to round it off. By Joe Gilmore.

Joe Gilmore created the Missouri Mule in honor of President Harry S. Truman, as a nod to Truman's home state of Missouri and to the donkey, the symbol of the Democratic Party. The name plays on that mascot, as a mule has a donkey sire and a horse dam.
