Missing Notes is Todd Birkel's 2019 re-creation of the Chili Willy, a drink served at the Charmant Hotel in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The original notes went missing, so the recipe was rebuilt from memory, which gave the drink its name.

Instructions

  1. Dip the edge of a martini or coupe glass in lime juice and then in cardamom powder.
  2. Mix bourbon, liqueur, zucca, and bitters over ice.
  3. Strain into the prepared glass.
