Instructions

  1. Fill a mixing glass with ice and put your cocktail glass in the freezer or fill it with ice to chill.
  2. Add the rye whiskey, sweet vermouth and black walnut bitters.
  3. Stir until well chilled.
  4. Strain into the chilled cocktail glass.
  5. Squeeze the orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it in.
