Phillip Gruneich created L'Avventura in 2019, inspired by Michelangelo Antonioni's 1960 Italian film of the same name. The drink draws on two classics, the Artichoke Hold and the Italian Buck, and pairs Cynar with St. Germain and Amaro Montenegro, a combination that recalls the Bamboo or the Chrysanthemum.
