- Fill a cocktail glass with ice and leave it to chill.
- Fill a shaker with ice and add the bourbon, sweet vermouth, maraschino liqueur and Angostura bitters.
- Shake hard until the shaker is frosted and ice cold.
- Empty the ice from the glass and put in one or two Luxardo cherries, on a pick if you like.
- Strain the drink into the glass.
