La Jetée

Stir Mezcal, Cognac, Bonal Gentiane Quina, Braulio with ice. Strain into a coupe.

Inspired by the mezcal-Braulio mix in my Montañista cocktail from a few nights earlier, I created La Jetée. Drawing on the 1910 Cocktail for guidance, I combined mezcal with Cognac and Braulio, inspired by the St. Bernard's Pass recipe that resembles a Cognac Black Manhattan. Opting for Bonal over Punt e Mes due to its compatibility with both spirits, La Jetée takes its name from Terry Gilliam’s 1962 film "La Jetée."
