Instructions

  1. Combine blended scotch, ginger liqueur, and bitters in a mixing vessel.
  2. Pack this mixture with ice cubes and agitate until well chilled, approximately 20 seconds.
  3. Strain the contents into an old-fashioned glass containing one large ice cube.
  4. Float Islay scotch on top of the drink.
  5. Ignite an orange peel over the cocktail and then discard it inside.
  6. Optionally, add a few drops of aromatic bitters to the center of the glass.
