- Combine blended scotch, ginger liqueur, and bitters in a mixing vessel.
- Pack this mixture with ice cubes and agitate until well chilled, approximately 20 seconds.
- Strain the contents into an old-fashioned glass containing one large ice cube.
- Float Islay scotch on top of the drink.
- Ignite an orange peel over the cocktail and then discard it inside.
- Optionally, add a few drops of aromatic bitters to the center of the glass.
