After wrapping up my bartending shift on a Saturday evening, I was craving a nightcap but too exhausted to look up recipes. My mind wandered through various flavor profiles: Smith & Cross Rum and Campari in a Kingston Negroni, banana liqueur mixed with Campari for a Banana Boulevardier, Fernet combined with banana in a Banana Toronto, and finally, the bitter blend of Campari and Fernet in an Eeyore's Requiem. As these ideas merged, I christened my concoction the Kingston Watusi.
