Shookd's version of Jordgubbsmojito, a Swedish-inspired cocktail.

Instructions

  1. Place 2-3 strawberries in a highball glass and crush them gently until no large chunks remain.
  2. Pour in the lime juice and sugar syrup.
  3. Take a handful of fresh mint leaves (about 12) and clap them between your hands to release their aromatic oils, then add to the glass.
  4. Lightly press the mint leaves with a muddler—avoid crushing them heavily, as this can introduce bitterness.
  5. Add the rum and fill just over halfway with crushed ice.
  6. Stir thoroughly to combine.
  7. Top with soda water and fill to the rim with crushed ice.
  8. Insert a straw and finish with a mint sprig and strawberry (position the mint near the straw so its aroma reaches your nose with every sip).
