Craig Eliason of Saint Paul, Minnesota, created the John Do Ya, which took second place in the Reddit Original Cocktail Competition in February 2025. The name refers to gianduja, the Italian confection of chocolate and hazelnuts, and the drink is built on brandy and hazelnut flavors.
