Dry apricot brandy and Batavia Arrack take the lead, with orange juice and a little gin and triple sec around them. Shaken and served in a cocktail glass; by John W. Emmerich.

The Javana is credited to John W. Emmerich. It was printed in the 1937 manual of the U.K. Bartender's Guild, published while Harry Craddock was the guild's president.
