A julep built over ice on reposado tequila with a smaller measure of mezcal, lightly sweetened with agave syrup. Orange peel and mint sprayed with allspice dram finish it. Created at Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co in Philadelphia in 2010.

Instructions

  1. Combine the ingredients in a julep tin.
  2. Pack it with crushed ice.
  3. Swirl vigorously until the exterior is frosted over.
  4. Add additional crushed ice if needed.
  5. Garnish by spritzing fresh mint leaves with Allspice Dram and squeezing an expressed orange peel over the drink.
