A stirred drink of rye whiskey and Armagnac with sweet vermouth, Angostura and a little triple sec, in a glass rinsed with absinthe. Created by Jordan Harper in 2012.

The Heathen VC, made by Jordan Harper in 2012, is a variation on the classic Vieux Carré that came about on the spot because there was no Benedictine at hand. Jerry Thomas bitters replace Peychaud's to add bitterness, which suits the creator's taste for extra pungent drinks.
