Gin shaken with dry vermouth, Campari and crème de violette, with fresh mint and basil, a trace of absinthe and lavender bitters. Herbal, floral and bitter in turn.

Hater's Blend came about when its creator tried the Rainy Night and the Erik Satie, both made with crème de violette, and liked some things about each but not others. Out of frustration, the creator mixed the two drinks together.
