A shaken rum sour of white rum, lime juice and simple syrup, with a little triple sec and a dash of Angostura bitters. Created by Murdock Pemberton in 1939.

Harpo's Special was first printed in the "Potables" column of Esquire in June 1939, written by Murdock Pemberton. David Wondrich suggests that the Golden Glove or the Santiago Cocktail is the likely starting point.
