Shake Aperol, Lime Juice, Gin, Lime Juice with ice. Strain into a coupe.

I came up with the Frosun before I knew Todd Maul at Clio in Boston had a similar idea. I shared it during Mixoloseum’s Thursday Drink Night on June 9, 2011.

Ingredients

45 ml
or Campari, plus
chilled
frozen into a cube
45 ml
🌱 Vegan🌾 Gluten-free

Instructions

  1. Freeze Aperol and half an ounce of lime juice beforehand.
  2. Combine gin with a quarter ounce of lime juice in a shaker.
  3. Shake well.
  4. Strain into a lowball glass.
  5. Add tonic water.
  6. Gently stir.
  7. Include an ice cube.
  8. Serve with either a straw or spoon for the drinker to break up the ice.
