Frank's Cocktail

Cognac and white port in equal parts, stirred with a little maraschino liqueur and orange bitters into a smooth, lightly sweet drink. Created by Frank Philip Newman in 1900.
Frank's Cocktail first appeared in Frank Philip Newman's American Bar in 1900, sweetened with grenadine. A revised recipe four years later, in 1904, used maraschino liqueur in place of the grenadine.
