Fougere Rose
0
A gin sour that is tart with lime and a little grapefruit, with floral bergamot from Italicus and the bitter gentian edge of Suze. Orange flower water adds a light perfumed note on top.
Fougere Rose grew out of an idea from @Drunklab, built around two shortcomings: Hendrick's gin works well in a gin and tonic but has little bitterness or green character, while Italicus could do with less sweetness or more depth. Together the two spirits recalled the Fougère fragrance family, defined by citrus, lavender, tonka bean and oakmoss.
