- Chill a cocktail glass.
- Add the dry sherry, swirl it around the inside of the glass, then tip out whatever is left.
- Hold the orange peel over the glass and squeeze it past a lit match or lighter, so the oils flare up and land on the sherry-rinsed walls.
- Shake the vodka with ice and pour through a fine strainer into the prepared glass.
- Finish with the flamed orange zest twist.
