Inspired by Phil Ward's Last Word variation, I conjured up the idea of the Final Ward Eight. Reflecting on the 1898 Boston cocktail, Ward 8, which shares rye and lemon juice with the Last Word, it seemed fitting to blend elements from both drinks together.
