Instructions

  1. Combine Black Mission Figs, Taylor Fine Tawney Port, Simple Syrup, Fresh Lime Juice, and three fresh mint leaves in a mixing glass or shaker.
  2. Muddle the ingredients until they form a smooth paste.
  3. Add Bourbon and St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur to the mixture.
  4. Pack with ice cubes and agitate vigorously for 8 to 10 seconds.
  5. Pour the contents through a strainer into an Old Fashioned Glass filled with fresh ice.
  6. Slice half of a fig into four thin pieces, about 1/4 inch thick, and place them on top of the drink.
  7. Grate some walnuts over the cocktail and finish it off by adding a mint sprig as garnish.
