Frederic Yarm devised the Explorer's Dream in 2019 after tasting the Dead Poet from Imbibe Magazine, which left the Poet's Dream on the creator's mind. The recipe is built around Batavia Arrack, a spirit that had already worked well alongside mezcal in the Smoking Jet Pilot, Airbag and Esmino's Escape.
