A patron at Drink requested a gin cocktail but described wanting a Penicillin. So, I crafted it using London Dry gin and Genever as the float, which was more substantial than the usual smoky Scotch. The guest loved it, prompting me to recreate it later that evening at home. Struggling to find an appropriate Dutch-themed name, I decided on Erasmus after a renowned Dutch philosopher.
