- Add the demerara syrup, maraschino liqueur, Angostura bitters and bourbon to a mixing glass, together with a piece of orange zest.
- Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir until well chilled and diluted.
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice, ideally over one large block of ice.
- Garnish with a twist of orange zest.
