Devil's Disciple
🥄0
Stir Rye Whiskey, Mezcal, Amaro, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.
Inspired by the Sfumato-Ancho Reyes pairing in drinks like Ashes in Our Mouths and Comanche Club, I experimented with adding rye whiskey and mezcal from recipes such as the Devil's Soul, along with a hint of mole bitters. Naming it the Devil's Disciple, this cocktail pays homage to Aleister Crowley mentioned in Ernest Hemingway’s posthumous novel A Moveable Feast, set in Paris during the 1920s.
