Rye whiskey shaken with lemon juice, cinnamon syrup and a little walnut liqueur: tart, warming and nutty, like a spiced whiskey sour. Created by Joshua Perez at Featherweight BK in 2015.

Joshua Perez created the Devilock at Featherweight in Brooklyn in autumn 2015. It is named after a Misfits song written by Jerry Only. The drink was first called "Rye! Rye! My Darling!", but that joke did not appeal to everyone.

Instructions

  1. Combine the ingredients with ice and shake well.
  2. Strain into a double old-fashioned glass filled with one large ice cube.
  3. Float walnut liqueur on top.
  4. Spear some candied ginger for garnishing.
