Instructions

  1. Dateviation (Skylar Specs) is a floral, aviation-style shaker cocktail on hibiscus-infused gin, lifted with violet, maraschino, lemon and rose-petal syrup.
  2. Shake 2 oz (60 ml) hibiscus-infused gin (Aviation), 0.25 oz (7.5 ml) crème de violette (Giffard), 1 tsp (5 ml) maraschino liqueur (Luxardo), 0.5 oz (15 ml) lemon juice and 0.5 oz (15 ml) rose petal syrup with ice.
  3. Strain into the chilled glass.
  4. Garnish with colored isomalt hearts or isomalt spectacles.

  7. Combine 15 g dried hibiscus flowers with 375 ml Aviation gin in a sealed container; infuse 90 minutes. Strain solids and transfer to a clean bottle.
