A stirred mix of mezcal and rhum agricole with Aperol and amaro. Smoky and grassy, with an orange bitterness running through it. Created by Frederic Yarm in 2022.

Frederic Yarm developed Dark Entries in 2022 as an adaptation of the Knife to a Gun Fight, combining a mezcal and agricole base with Sfumato and Aperol. After the second version was posted on Instagram, Jake Parrott of Haus Alpenz commented that cafés in Veneto traditionally serve a half-and-half blend of rhubarb amaro and red bitter, called mezzo-mezzo. The drink's smoky, roasted flavors inspired the name, taken from a 1980 song by Bauhaus.
