Cuban Sunshine

0

White rum and dry vermouth are shaken with pineapple juice, a little grenadine for sweetness and colour, and a dash of orange bitters. Rum-forward and fruity, with the dry vermouth giving a drier, herbal edge.

The Cuban Sunshine appears under the name Sunshine in the 'Cuban Concoctions' section of the Old Waldorf Astoria Bar Book. It combines rum, vermouth and pineapple juice in matching measures, finished with a dash of grenadine, and this version is an adaptation from Peacock Alley at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
