The original Cuba Libre, made with rum and Coke, appeared around 1900 in Havana. In 1995, Paul Harrington added gin and Angostura bitters to the classic drink at his California bar based on a suggestion from a Venezuelan customer, according to Dave Stolte.

Instructions
