A stirred gin and dry vermouth drink in the style of a martini, with Amer Picon and Bénédictine adding bitter orange and herbal depth. Orange bitters and a lemon twist finish it. Created by Frederic Yarm in Boston in 2020.

Frederic Yarm created the Creole Poet in 2020, starting from an old gin-based Brooklyn cocktail that Yarm wanted to reimagine. The drink follows the Poet's Dream Martini variation and uses liqueurs from both the Poet's Dream and the Creole Cocktail, which calls for Picon and Benedictine. The name simply combines the two.
