I was inspired by an old Brooklyn cocktail made with gin and started thinking about how to reimagine it. Drawing from the Poet's Dream Martini variation, I incorporated liqueurs used in both the Poet's Dream and the classic Creole Cocktail, which includes Picon and Benedictine. For a fitting name, I settled on the straightforward "Creole Poet."
