Shake Fernet Branca, Campari, Passion Fruit Syrup, Honey Syrup with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass.

One evening, after an art trip to Fruitlands where I saw Joseph Wheelwright's sculpture "Clown," inspiration struck for a new cocktail. Recalling my success with honey, Amaro Montenegro, and lemon from the Golden Ticket and All of Freud's Beautiful Women, I combined Fernet Branca and Campari, known as a Ferrari shot. The vehicular theme resonated, leading to the Clown Car name. Instead of a liqueur, I used passion fruit syrup, which complemented honey like in the Don’s Special Daiquiri and paired well with both Campari and Fernet from cocktails such as Novara and Sea Beast. Interestingly, this combination mirrored my earlier creation, the Cornerman.
