CINCO DE MAYO
🥃0
Shake Tequila Blanco, CrèMe De Fraise, Dubonnet Rouge, Lemon Juice with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.
The Cinco de Mayo cocktail celebrates Mexico’s 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla. Tequila forms its base, symbolizing national pride, while Wenneker Strawberry liqueur and raspberry juice add a fruity sweetness that contrasts with red bell pepper for a spicy kick. Lemon juice balances the flavors, representing the struggle, and agave syrup brings out the drink’s natural sweetness. Dubonnet Rouge enhances complexity, and mezcal adds smokiness to honor those who fought in the battle. This cocktail was introduced at the Vinexpo in Bordeaux by Swizzle Masters Competition.
