A shaken coupe with pineapple and lime juice for tart fruit, Velvet Falernum and nutmeg for spice, and coca leaf liqueur (Cocalero Clasico) and overproof rum as the base. Mint on top adds a fresh aroma.

Similar names: The Charlatan

The creator adapted a recipe by Kaiser Penguin in 2022, after experimenting with the Improved Chartreuse Swizzle, replacing Chartreuse with the weaker but still green Cocalero and adding more overproof rum to compensate. The name plays on a drink that looks like its Chartreuse-based model despite a lesser ingredient, and on the "char" that charlatan and Chartreuse share.
