Cachaça and grapefruit juice set a tart, grassy base, while Strega, cassis and Ancho Reyes add herbal notes, dark berries and a gentle chile warmth, along with a warm spice liqueur. Shaken and served in a coupe.

Carl N. created the Captain's Call in 2022, taking inspiration from the scene in "Some Like It Hot" where Tony Curtis, as "CAPT", relaxes on the beach by the Hotel del Coronado. Many Naval Academy alumni have drunk it in that same setting.
