Instructions

  1. Put the malt extract in a rocks glass, add a splash of the Scotch and stir until the malt extract has dissolved.
  2. Add ice and a little more Scotch, then stir.
  3. Pour in the rest of the Scotch, the simple syrup and the Angostura bitters, and stir again.
  4. Top up with more ice and keep stirring until the drink is chilled and diluted to your taste.
  5. Garnish with a lemon zest twist.
