Frederic Yarm created the Boston Lady in 2021 during the virtual USBG Boston Classic Cocktail Happy Hours held in quarantine, where drinks tied to Boston were discussed. The talk touched on the Boston Cocktail, which Mr. Boston's 1935 book had rebranded from the Bermudian or Bermuda Rose, and a recent Boxcar cocktail inspired Yarm to rework it using the White Lady template.
