The inspiration for Bobcat's Tail came from a recent taste of maple-allspice dram at Fireside Chat. The allspice reminded me of the Lion's Tail cocktail, while the maple made me think of smoke, leading to the addition of Islay whisky. Considering wildcats in syrup-producing regions, naming it after a bobcat seemed fittingly ironic due to their short tails.
