Instructions

  1. Place water in a saucepan and heat it until gently simmering.
  2. In a heat-resistant bowl set over this pot, combine the egg yolk along with all other liquid ingredients except for the coffee.
  3. Whisk continuously for around two to three minutes or until the mixture noticeably thickens.
  4. Pour this mixture into your Irish coffee mug and stir in the brewed coffee.
  5. Finish by sprinkling freshly grated nutmeg on top as a garnish.
