The Bernheim Buck is a twist on the Kentucky Buck, substituting wheat whiskey for bourbon. Erick Castro invented the original Kentucky Buck at Bourbon & Branch in San Francisco back in 2008.

Instructions

  1. Crush the strawberries with lime juice in a shaker.
  2. Include the whiskey, simple syrup, and ice cubes.
  3. Vigorously shake then double-strain into a Collins glass filled with ice.
  4. Pour 1 to 2 ounces of ginger beer on top as a finish.
  5. Garnish with a slice of lime.
