For a holiday gathering, I decided to try Nux Alpina, a new local find. This drink mirrors Haus Alpenz’s “Black Manhattan,” but uses bourbon rather than rye and has a unique name since the other is already claimed. Named after Bennett Park, the highest spot in Manhattan, it captures an alpine feel in the heart of the city.
