Stir Bourbon, Apple Brandy, Maraschino Liqueur, Simple Syrup with ice. Strain into a rocks glass.
Inspired by Phil Ward's Tequila Gumption, I created an American version by swapping out the reposado tequila and mezcal for bonded Bourbon and apple brandy. This Mr. Potato Head-style switch felt fitting as a nod to Phil, so I named it the American Gumption.
