A rompope-led drink by Marcelo Mereles from 2023, with dark rum, a little triple sec and sweet vermouth in support. Nutmeg adds a warm spice.

Marcelo Mereles created Adult Rompope in 2023, building on rompope, an egg-and-milk drink first made by nuns in 17th-century central Mexico. Rompope is traditionally served at Christmas, when children are also allowed a sip thanks to its low alcohol content.
